This agent is written in Perl to allow Datadog to collect system metrics and logs leveraging the HP-UX native system utilities. Now, large organizations with legacy infrastructure can continue running their core applications on HP-UX while benefiting from Datadog’s robust monitoring, reporting, and alerting capabilities.
Our agent integration was developed to monitor and manage organization-wide usage and performance of your HP-UX servers. Application and resource managers can monitor health and performance statistics for all servers in real-time to minimize downtimes arising from server-level issues.
Our HP-UX Performance Monitoring agent allows you to monitor core HP-UX system metrics, process checks, and log tails using Datadog.
The agent supports HP-UX 11.31 on both PA-RISC and Itanium architectures. The agent uses the default HP-UX Perl system distribution, which simplifies installation and compatibility with no additional dependencies.
The agent generates the host metadata to support the Datadog Infrastructure List, enabling you to work with HP-UX hosts in a similar way to other operating systems within Datadog.
Develop data-driven load distribution maps with real-time visibility into CPU load, memory usage, and network interface traffic. In addition to proactive monitoring, HP-UX Performance Monitoring enables you to receive alerts when critical thresholds for load processing are crossed.
